About us
La Patisserie Verte is a home-based artisan patisserie trading in Essex and London, United Kingdom, operating from a registered food business kitchen with a 5-star hygiene rating. Contact: LaPatisserieVerte@gmail.com.
Orders & payment
- All orders must be confirmed in writing — via this website, email, or a message on Instagram or Facebook.
- A contract is formed only once we have confirmed your order and payment has cleared. We may decline an order, for example where a date is fully booked or a request cannot be made safely.
- Full payment is required at the time of ordering to confirm menu orders. For event and corporate catering, a 50% deposit may be agreed instead to secure the booking, with the balance due before delivery.
- Website payments are handled securely by Stripe. In person we also accept Apple Pay, contactless payment and cash.
- Prices are in pounds sterling and include VAT where applicable. Personalised cupcake quotes are confirmed by us in writing after we review your request; no charge is taken until you accept the quoted price.
- Please give as much notice as possible. Lead times are shown at the point of ordering and larger or event orders need more time.
Collections & deliveries
- When collecting your bakes, please arrive at the agreed time.
- Local delivery is available by arrangement and subject to a fee calculated by distance from our kitchen. The fee is shown before you pay.
- Someone must be available to receive the delivery at the agreed address and time. If nobody is available, we may leave the order at the address at your risk or return it, and a further delivery fee may apply.
- Once items have been collected or delivered, responsibility passes to you. We are not liable for damage caused after this point, for example during transport, storage or handling.
Changes & cancellations
- Because everything is freshly baked to order, changes and cancellations can only be accepted before we begin preparing your order. Please contact us as soon as possible.
- Our products are perishable and made to your order, so the 14-day right to cancel distance sales under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 does not apply to made-to-order or perishable food. Your legal rights if something is wrong with your order are unaffected.
- Cancellation refunds, where offered, are handled under our Refund Policy.
Allergies & dietary information
- All bakes are made in a kitchen that handles gluten, nuts, peanuts, dairy, eggs and soy, among the 14 regulated allergens. While great care is taken, we cannot guarantee that any product is free from allergens or traces of them.
- You are responsible for telling us about any allergies or intolerances before ordering. You can add these in the additional notes at checkout.
- Full ingredient and allergen information is available on request, and is provided with your order in line with UK food information rules.
Storage & shelf life
- Cupcakes are best eaten within 2–3 days of collection or delivery.
- Brownies and cookies keep for up to 5 days in an airtight container.
- Cheesecakes must be refrigerated and consumed within 2–3 days.
- We are not responsible for spoilage where products have not been stored correctly.
Personalised & custom orders
- Please check all details — names, spellings, dates, colours and themes — carefully before confirming. We cannot accept responsibility for errors where information was provided incorrectly.
- Everything is handmade, so finished items may vary slightly from reference images. We reserve the right to make minor adjustments where necessary.
- By uploading reference images you confirm you have the right to share them with us for the purpose of your order.
- We cannot reproduce artwork, logos or characters where doing so would infringe someone else’s intellectual property, unless you confirm you hold permission.
Accounts & loyalty
- You are responsible for keeping your account sign-in details secure and for activity carried out under your account.
- Loyalty points have no cash value, are not transferable, and are earned and redeemed on the terms shown in your account. We may vary or withdraw the scheme with reasonable notice.
- We may suspend an account where we reasonably suspect misuse or fraudulent activity.
Website content
All photography, recipes, wording and branding on this website belong to La Patisserie Verte and may not be copied or reused without our written permission.
Liability
- You are responsible for checking allergen advice and any information provided with your order before consuming our products, and for passing that information on to anyone else who will eat them.
- We are not liable for adverse reactions where an allergy or intolerance was not disclosed to us at the time of ordering.
- Our liability for any order is limited to the value of that order, except where the law does not allow such a limit. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any of your statutory rights as a consumer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Complaints & governing law
If something is not right, please contact us within 24 hours of collection or delivery, ideally with photographs, so we can look into it. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
Changes to these terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time. The latest version will apply to all new orders. Thank you for supporting La Patisserie Verte — every order means so much.
